CSAE AWARDS: SPANISG ARCHITECTURE 2009 AND SPANISH ARCHITECTURAL HERITAGE INTERVENTION 2009
The restoration of Cornatel castle, located in Villavieja (inside the term of Prianza del Bierzo), has become a finalist for the Award of Intervention in the Spanish architectural heritage 2009 that is conceded by the Main Council of Spanish Architects Association with the participation of the Culture and Housing Ministries.
An achievement that the architect who led the recovery of the fortification from Leon, Fernando Cobos (...) The recognition, which aims consist on valuing the protection, the conservation and promotion of heritage as one of the main hallmarks of the identity of the national culture, is awarded every two years and has the distinction of being the architects' associations and other organizations the ones that propose the projects that are submitted for the consideration of the jury.
